World Wide Medical is dedicated to assisting the medical community with the ability to promote electro-medical technology encompassing non-opioid, non-invasive medical therapies to improve their patient’s quality of living.
Micro-Current
Microcurrent differs from TENS in that TENS blocks pain, while MENS acts on the naturally occurring electrical impulses to decrease pain by stimulating the healing process.
Trauma affects the electric potential of the damaged cells. The injured area has a higher electrical resistance than the surrounding tissue. When the resistance is higher, the electrical conductance through the injured area is decreased, which leads to a decrease cellular capacitance, thus leading to impairment of the healing process and therefore, inflammation.
The sub-sensory current of World Wide Medical’s FDA-approved Microcurrent, when applied to injured tissue acts on the body’s naturally occurring electrical impulses to reduce the resistance in cells, allow cells in the traumatized area to regain their capacitance (or flow of electrons) thus facilitating the healing process and decreasing the sensation of pain.
